Mercy Heritage Center is located in Belmont, N.C. and holds a museum and the archives for the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. It was created in 2010 to house the historic records and artifacts from Sisters of Mercy archives across the United States.
As the central archives for the Sisters of Mercy, Mercy Heritage Center preserves and relates the story of the Institute of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. As a research and educational resource for the general public, its records illustrate the vibrant and relevant impact of the Sisters of Mercy on the changing needs of our times, and inspires visitors to make personal commitments to similar values.
This an accompanying online exhibit for their current rotating exhibit: Civil War Sisters: Healing the Wounds of the Nation.
